The General Freight Division of Santa Fe offers a comprehensive range of services combining extensive packing, consolidation, forwarding, and transportation skills. We have the ability to move any size cargo anywhere in the world by air, ship, train, truck or barge, problem-free, on time, and within budget.

Santa Fe has invested in the state-of-the-art DTS forwarding software system, created especially for the freight forwarding industry. Designed to generate port, carrier, financial and other relevant information, the DTS forwarding system enables Santa Fe to keep customers up-to-date on shipment status.

In China, Santa Fe has a class A licensed joint venture with fully licensed offices in six major cities and six major seaports. We provide heavy lift equipment, containerised sea shipments and air imports / exports moving to and from China.


Santa Fe's Project Cargo Department specialises in moving heavy lift equipment. Using knowledge and experienced gained over 20 years, this division handles transportation requirements for one-off projects requiring specialist skills. Our impressive list of major projects include transporting the following:

  • thousands of tons of small and heavy equipment for large oil companies operating in Southern China
  • heavy lift equipment to a nuclear power plant station in Daya Bay
  • a prefabricated hotel to Macau
  • a coal handling terminal to Yangzhou
  • satellite fuel to Xichang
  • China's satellite launching site
  • heavy lift equipment for a pumped storage electricity station in Conghua

Metro Consolidators, Hong Kong-based and fully owned by Santa Fe, is the arm of the NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operated Common Carrier) service. Metro offers fully integrated container and consolidation services to every corner of the globe. Its strong management and comprehensive range of services (including vendor management, cargo consolidation, documentation, factory loading and trans-shipment) make Metro the consolidator of choice for the region's leading businesses. Metro Consolidator is an FMC bonded NVOCC.

The Air Freight Department of the General Cargo Department is another service Santa Fe offers to customers needing special attention for urgent cargo to be sent overseas. On average, the team has more than 10 years' experience.

The Courier Service Department offers service worldwide, with a specialisation in serving the needs of local Hong Kong clients and those sending small parcels and documents to the mail centres in China. From Hong Kong, we guarantee delivery to Southern China within 24 hours.

Our Freight Forwarding division conducts business effectively and in the most environmentally friendly manner possible. Proudly, the division holds both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.
