China Visa and Immigration Services

The People’s Republic of China is one of the world’s most populous nations with an ancient history, rich culture and diverse cuisine. Home to more than 1.35 billion people, China is now the second largest economy and expected soon to be the largest in the world.

Due to the country’s vibrant and rapidly growing economy, people are moving to China to live, work, and experience the phenomenon of an economy and society in transformation.

Before you can enjoy all that China has to offer, it is important to navigate China immigration and obtain permission to either visit or live within the country.

Applying for visas to China can often be a long, complicated and expensive process, with many rules and restrictions to follow and adhere to. Depending on the type of visa you are trying to obtain, there are different requirements that you will need in order to qualify.

L Visa Leisure visits / Tourism

M Visa Foreigner traveling in China to engage in business or commercial activities, for example a business trip

S1 Visa For the spouses, parents, sons or daughters under the age of 18 or parents-in-law, those who intend to go to China to
visit the foreigners working or studying in China to whom they are or to those who intend to go to China for other private affairs. (long term).

S2 Visa For those who intend to visit their family members who are foreigners working or studying in China, or to those who intend to go to China for other private matters.

X1 Visa Long term study in China

X2 Visa Short term study in China

Z Visa For employment in China

Foreigners who wish to work and live in China must apply for a Z Visa type and their accompanying family members must apply for S1 Visas. Other types of visas cannot be converted to work permits or residence permits in China.
