Corporate Immigration — Chain Authorisations requirement has come into force

Santa Fe publication date

05 November 2024

Overview

As from the 4th of November 2024 the Chain Authorisations are now officially a requirement for your trusted immigration provider to continue handling your (corporate) immigration cases.

It was a bit of a hassle and extra work for all involved but working together with our clients we have managed to get it done within a short time.

Who will be affected?

Unfortunately, if the Chain Authorisation has not been set up, we will not be able to continue our immigration services until it is. This causes a direct delay on any new (corporate) immigration cases that you may require assistance with or pending ones that are waiting to be submitted.

Background

Before, it would suffice to have a power of attorney without any specific template or much further guidance, for an immigration provider to submit an application on behalf of a company. Anyone with ‘e-herkenning’ could log in, insert the chamber of commerce number of any recognised sponsor company and submit an application to a certain extend. This would be sensitive to abuse of this portal and corrupted applications.

As these events required the regulations to get stricter around the digitalised world of immigration, some extra checks had to be put in place.

Impact

The Chain Authorisation will assure that only the trusted immigration provider, that has been specifically authorised by the majority of the directors of your company, is able to submit an immigration application on your behalf.

As we navigated the complex process of requesting Chain Authorisations from various suppliers, it became clear that our guidance through this process was essential. We have happily helped many already successfully and are more than willing and able to help others as well.

Santa Fe recommendation

If you find yourself stuck and do not know how to proceed to set this up, do not hesitate to reach out to your trusted immigration provider. Our consultants will be happy to help you further through this maze.
