Immigration update: Singapore | Border measures for travellers from Myanmar
Travellers with recent travel history (including transit) to Myanmar will not be allowed entry into and/or transit through Singapore.
Who will be affected?
Travellers on Long-term Passes and Short-term Visitors who have travelled to, and/or staying in Myanmar will not be able to enter into Singapore even if they may have received prior entry approvals. This revision will also include travellers who are transiting via Myanmar to Singapore.
Implementation
With the recent COVID-19 situation in Myanmar, authorities have announced that all long-term pass holders and short-term visitors with recent travel history (including transit) to Myanmar within the last 21 days before their travels to Singapore, will not be allowed entry into and/or transit through Singapore.
In addition to Myanmar, Singapore has also imposed travel restrictions on the following countries:
• Bangladesh
• India
• Nepal
• Pakistan
• Sri Lanka
Travellers who are currently in the above locations are advised to defer their entries into Singapore until further notice has been issued.
Entry Applications to Singapore
New entry applications are only permitted for travellers who have remained in the following countries for at least 21 consecutive days before travelling to Singapore.
• Australia
• Brunei Darussalam
• Hong Kong
• Macao
• Mainland China
• New Zealand
Entry applications are suspended for all other countries until further advisory from the authorities.
As the COVID-19 environment continues to develop, frequent revisions to immigration guidelines may take place and sometimes without prior notice.
