Additional travel advisory due to COVID-19

In continuation of the travel advisories issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, on 11th March,16th March and 17th March 2020, the following additional advisory is issued.

Who will be affected? 

All international passengers

Impact

• No scheduled international commercial passenger aircraft shall take off from any foreign airport in India, after 00:01 hrs GMT on 22nd March 2020. These instructions shall remain in force till 00:01 hrs GMT on 29th March 2020.
• No international passenger aircraft shall be allowed to disembark its passengers *on Indian soil* (Foreigner or Indian) after 20:01 hrs GMT on 22nd March 2020 (*i.e. 01:31hrs IST on 23rd March 2020).
• These instructions are in addition to the travel restrictions/ advisories already issued and under implementation.

Santa Fe Analysis

In lieu of the latest measures rolled out, during the time taken to get the swab test results from the authorities, it is advisable to minimize contact with others as a precautionary measure.

For employers, it is advised to keep assignment start dates flexible for affected travellers and also to keep business travels to a minimum.

As COVID-19 continues to spread to more countries and infect more people, we recommend practicing hygiene and safety measures first.
