Guidelines for international arrivals related to COVID -19

Based on the risk assessment the Indian authorities have issued revised guidelines for International arrivals. The Standard Operating Procedure will be valid with effect from 22nd February 2021 (23:59hrs IST) until further orders.

Who will be affected?

All international travellers coming/transiting through flights originating from the United Kingdom, Europe and Middle East

Implementation

+ Additional guidelines for the international arrivals are implemented with effect from 22nd February 2021 (2359 hrs IST)
+ Government has suspended all international flights till 28th February 2021.
+ All overseas flights are being operated under the Air Bubble Agreement with other nations.
+ All International travellers except from United Kingdom, Europe and Middle East should submit a Self-Declaration form on Air Suvidha portal before the scheduled travel.
+ Only asymptomatic travellers will be allowed to board the flight after thermal screening.
+ International travellers should upload a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR report with exception of those travelling in the exigency of death in the family.
+ For exemption, the international traveller should apply to the online portal www.newdelhiairport.in before 72 hours of boarding the flight
+ The test should be conducted within 72 hours prior to the journey and submit a declaration with respect to the authenticity of the report.
+ These instructions are in addition to the travel restrictions/ advisories already issued and under implementation.

In lieu of the latest measures rolled out, during the time taken to get the swab test results from the authorities, it is advisable to minimize contact with others as a precautionary measure.

For employers, it is advised to keep assignment start dates flexible for affected travellers and also to keep business travels to a minimum.
