The Italian government have extended the validity of documents
Who will be affected?
All EU citizens and non EU citizens that has immigration procedures ongoing all over Italy.
Due to the large outbreak of covid – 19 in Italy, new extraordinary laws were implemented and new restrictions/measures put in charge.
Workers and their families have to expect delays in the finalisation of immigration procedures.
Law 27 issued on 24 April 2020 and in force from 30 April 2020, converts Law Decree 18 into law and contains measures to extend the validity of documents.
Article 103 states that all the certificates, attestations, permits, authorisations expiring within the period 31 January 2020 and 31 July 2020, are valid up to 90 days after the end of emergency status.
The validity of work permits and residence permits is extended until 31 August 2020.
