Immigration update: Malaysia | Collection of pass sticker at ESC KLIA1 for employment pass category I and II (EP I & II)
Companies are now required to select ESC, KLIA1 for collection of pass sticker under the logistic arrangement of Expats System.
Who will be affected?
This requirement applies to all new applications of Foreign Knowledge Worker (FKW) including their dependent/s under Employment Pass categories I and II (EPI and EPII) that are currently abroad.
For reference, the following are the details of Employment Pass categories:
Background
Previously, endorsements are done over the immigration counters using physical passports after the applicants arrive and enter Malaysia.
Impact
Upon obtaining approval of your Single-Entry Visa SEV or eVisa, provide a copy the following two documents to immigration consultant:
a) Single Entry Visa (SEV)/eVisa; and
b) Flight ticket for entry to Malaysia

Santa Fe recommendations
Applicants are advised to provide SEV/eVisa and flight ticket at least 14 days prior to the intended day of travel or entry date to Malaysia. This is so that your immigration consultant can submit and obtain confirmation letter before the travel date.
We believe that the changes in the endorsement process does expedite the endorsement and issuance of the EP DP sticker, allowing the applicant to start work immediately. However, this requires at least 14 days’ notice prior to travel which could impact urgent business / traveling needs. Please seek advice from your immigration consultant for any urgent travel needs.
