Expats Service Centre’s Notice of Closure for 2019 Eid Fitri (Hari Raya Aidilfitri)
The Expats Service Centre at the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) will be closed from Tuesday, 4 June 2019 to Sunday, 9 June 2019 for Hari Raya Aidilfitri. They will resume work on Monday, 10 June 2019.
Who will be affected?
All Malaysian companies with MSC Malaysia Status and those which are in the ICT Sector that submit applications through MDEC.
In observance of public holidays associated with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitiri, the Expats Service Centre will be closed from Tuesday, 4 June 2019 to Sunday, 9 June 2019. They will resume work on Monday, 10 June 2019.
Impact on the Approvals of Applications
Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, 22 May 2019 in order to receive an outcome before the holidays. The outcome of any applications received after the date above will only be known on Monday, 10 June 2019 onwards.
Impact on the Endorsement Process
Passes requiring endorsement should be submitted by Tuesday, 28 May 2019 in order to receive the duly endorsed passports before the holidays. MDEC will continue to accept passports again for endorsement process on Monday, 10 June 2019.
