New measures for travellers from India, Hong Kong, South Africa and the UK

Non-Singaporeans, Non-Permanent Residents with travel history from India will not be granted entry to Singapore. Measures relaxed for travellers from Hong Kong, South Africa and United Kingdom.

Who will be affected?

Travellers on Long Term Passes and Short Term Visitors with recent travel history to India within the last 14 days will not be able to enter Singapore, even though they may have received prior entry approvals. This revision will also include travellers who are transiting via India to Singapore.

Travellers from Hong Kong who have remained in Hong Kong for the last 14 days from 22 April 2021, 23:59 hours, Stay Home Notice (SHN) requirements will be reduced from 14 days to 7 days and travellers have the option to serve the SHN at their home or hotel. They will no longer be required to serve their SHN at SHN Dedicated Facilities (SDFs).

For travellers who have remained in the United Kingdom and South Africa for at least 14 consecutive days, they will be subjected to an additional 7 days SHN at their home or hotel, following the 14 days SHN at SDFs.

Implementation

INDIA
With the recent worsening Covid-19 situation in India and the emergence of the new virus variants, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that from 23 April 2021, 23:59 hours, Pass holders with recent travel history (including transit) to India within the last 14 days are not allowed to enter Singapore until further notice. This also applies to those who had obtained a prior entry approval.
HONG KONG

SHN period for travellers from Hong Kong and travellers who remain in Hong Kong in the last 14 consecutive days from 22 April 2021 23:59 hours, will be reduced to 7 days and travellers can serve the SHN at their home or hotel. They will still be subjected to a COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test upon arrival and another PCR test before ending their 7 days SHN.

SOUTH AFRICA AND UNITED KINGDOM

Previously, a travel ban was imposed on travellers from South Africa and United Kingdom. However, from 22 April 2021, 23:59 hours, measures have been relaxed where the government is now allowing travellers who had remained in United Kingdom and South Africa in the last 14 days to apply for approvals to enter Singapore. However, they will be subjected to an additional 7 days SHN at their home or hotel, following the 14 days SHN at SDFs.
