Immigration update: Thailand Pass’ registration eases international arrival
Recent changes to the Test & Go Scheme are applicable from 1st June 2022. Thai Nationals will no longer be required to apply for a Thailand Pass.
Who will be affected?
Thai Nationals and Foreigners who are entering Thailand.
Background
The Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has scrapped the requirement for RT-PCR testing of overseas arrivals and the “Test and Go” scheme for fully vaccinated travelers. Thailand prepares for more easing of restrictions in line with the COVID-19 situation.
Impact
Travelers entering Thailand by air from 1st June 2022, will find reduced restrictions. The Thailand Pass is subject to new entry measures, as follows:
- Passport Details
- The minimum travel insurance coverage for medical treatments in Thailand is now US$10,000. Insurance policy must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Thailand.
- Vaccine Certificate
Unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travelers who are able to upload proof of a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test within 72 hours of travel via the Thailand Pass system will also be allowed entry and are free to go anywhere in the kingdom.
