LONDON, 3rd December 2018, we have announced today that we have reached an agreement to sell the assets comprising of our Immigration business to CIBT. I am excited about the opportunities that this decision presents for our clients, employees, and shareholders. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of next year.
Headquartered in Washington, DC, with operations throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East & Africa, and the Asia Pacific region, CIBT is a leading global provider of immigration and visa services. The company supports a diverse clientele that includes more than 75% of the Fortune 500, NGOs, government agencies and other organizations requiring assistance with short and long-term visa and immigration needs. CIBT’s focus on service excellence, compliance, data protection and consistent service delivery have positioned the company as a market leader across its global footprint (corporate.cibt.com).
Once the proposed acquisition has closed, Santa Fe Relocation’s employees, who are dedicated to providing immigration solutions, will gradually transfer to CIBT’s wholly-owned immigration subsidiary, Newland Chase.
Alongside this, we have entered into a long-term commercial agreement with CIBT to enable Santa Fe Relocation’s clients to access immigration services provided by CIBT, either on a standalone basis or as part of a fully integrated end-to-end model.
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2019. Between now and the anticipated closing of the acquisition, there will be no changes to the way that we support your immigration needs. As we work through our proposed integration plans, we will be in contact with you as needed, to share important updates and enhancements.
The growth of our Immigration business has been a real success story in recent years. This transaction accelerates Santa Fe Relocation’s mission of helping our customers succeed. Gaining access to CIBT’s tremendous resources and powerful technology makes this combined offering a best-in-class solution for our customers. Both Santa Fe Relocation and CIBT are committed to delivering a world-class service to Santa Fe Relocation’s clients. Access to CIBT’s deep immigration expertise, broad footprint and leading technology will further bolster Santa Fe Relocation’s position as a leading mobility service firm.
For our clients, we are confident that this development will bring significant benefits to your Global Mobility and Immigration programmes. The direct immigration footprint that our teams can access grows from 36 countries to nearly 50, and our team becomes part of one several times the size, with positive impact on available resources and technology.
The sale is a win-win for Santa Fe Relocation’s customers and employees. As Santa Fe Relocation, we continue our focus on offering integrated mobility solutions to customers, and we continue to invest and develop our mobility services. The sale and partnership with CIBT enhances our service offering with an expanded global footprint for immigration, connectivity to CIBT’s cutting-edge technology and access to even deeper expert immigration practitioners in nearly 50 countries. We are both committed to continuing to deliver a world-class service to our customers. This transaction gives us a significantly enhanced immigration service offering, and at the same time a strengthened capital position to continue our development as a leading Global Mobility company.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to your Santa Fe Relocation contact.
We look forward to continue working with you in 2019, always delivering you an exceptional relocation experience; now in conjunction with CIBT on the Immigration side.
