Top countries to relocate for business

Switzerland

Surrounded by some of Europe’s major economic hotspots such as Germany, France, Italy and Austria, Switzerland is located in the centre of Europe’s most densely populated area. As one of the most competitive countries in the world, an increasing number of businesses have already decided to make the move to relocate here, so any business would be amongst good company. Not only is Switzerland among the top countries for infrastructure, but the volume of major IT, tech and pharmaceutical companies that operate here is only expected to rise and so should certainly be a top consideration for businesses planning to expand abroad.

Germany

Not only is Germany famed for its dynamic economy, but is also the top destination for companies relocating due to Brexit. Located in the centre of Europe and with an excellent transport network, – 230,000 km of roads and 37,000 km of railways  – Germany also counts a very high numbers of high skilled workers that make it an ideal place to open a new business.

Sweden

Sweden is part of The Nordic market – and together with Denmark, Finland and Norway – makes up the 11th largest economy in the world. Sweden has been listed by Forbes as one of the top five best countries to do business in 2018 and is home to well-known brands such as IKEA, Volvo, H&M and Ericsson. If we look at the technology sector Spotify, King, Truecaller, Klarna and Mojang are only some of the start-ups that make Stockholm one of the most prolific tech hubs after Silicon Valley. Sweden is an ideal place to run a business thanks to its political stability, strong public finances and a well performing economy. Here you will also find the first feminist government in the world.

United Arab Emirates

The fourth top country to relocate for business is the United Arab Emirates. According to HSBC, 56% of expatriates receive accommodation allowance in the UAE and approximately 75% receive health benefits, offering more than just great business for entrepreneurs and business owners alike. Despite what many think, setting up a business here is considerably easier than elsewhere in the Middle East, boasting excellent infrastructure and low import duties.

Norway

While Norway is considered to be a newcomer when it comes to choices for relocation for business, the country had the biggest improvement in their work-life balance last year. With a population of more than five million people, Norway is certainly a thriving member of the global economy and is even considered to be a global leader in diverse industries such as maritime, technology, communications and energy.
