ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES & CUSTOMER IMPACT MITIGATION POLICY

Santa Fe Relocation commits to reducing environmental impact across our operations and enabling customers to make lower-impact relocation decisions aligned with global climate and biodiversity goals. We recognise that relocation decisions influence emissions, resource use and waste, and we aim to actively support our customers in understanding, managing and mitigating the impacts resulting from their own consumption.

Enabling customers to reduce their environmental footprint

Our services are designed to help customers diagnose and reduce environmental impacts across the relocation journey. This includes providing emissions data and insights, promoting lower-impact alternatives such as reduced shipment volumes, consolidated logistics and alternative transport modes, and offering guidance on sustainable housing, mobility and lifestyle choices. We work closely with suppliers to improve environmental performance across logistics, transport, packing materials and destination services, enabling more sustainable outcomes for our customers.

We also support nature-positive action linked to relocation activity. Through our global tree-planting partnership, Treeapp initiatives and reforestation projects delivered via trusted NGOs, we support nature restoration initiatives linked to relocation activity, supporting biodiversity and strengthening climate resilience in regions connected to our services.

Objectives and targets

Our environmental services are underpinned by clear objectives and measurable targets, reviewed annually and tracked through our carbon accounting platform

Emissions intensity reduction:

Reduce Scope 3 emissions intensity per employee (including customer-related logistics emissions) by 61% by 2033, aligned with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) principles and modelled using the Watershed platform.
Operational emissions reduction:

Reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 54% by 2033, through energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption and improved data accuracy.

Lower-impact logistics:

Reduce air shipment Emissions by 15% by 2033, prioritising shipment consolidation, volume reduction at origin and alternative greener transport modes.

Sustainable procurement:

Channel at least 20% of third-party services through sustainability-assessed suppliers by 2027, supported by supplier ESG assessments, EcoVadis engagement and internal supplier ranking tools.

Circular materials and waste reduction:

Transition to 100% reused and recycled packing materials by 2027 and progress towards zero waste to landfill in locations with supporting infrastructure.

Nature and biodiversity:

Support reforestation and biodiversity initiatives linked to relocation activity, including tree planting per move through Treeapp and other verified partners, and targeted biodiversity actions in high-risk regions by 2027.

Progress against these objectives is monitored through internal performance indicators, third-party platforms and recognised frameworks including SBTi, CDP and EcoVadis. This ensures our environmental services deliver measurable impact while enabling customers to make informed, lower-impact relocation choices.
