Corporate Immigration update — Hong Kong Earlier Extension Filing Announced
Effective 1 March 2026, the Hong Kong Immigration Department will accept visa renewal applications from eligible individuals and their dependents under various employment and talent admission schemes within three months (up from one month currently) before expiry of their visa.

Who will be affected?
Applicants under the following policies/schemes:
- General Employment Policy (GEP)
- Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals (ASMTP)
- Technology Talent Admission Scheme (TechTAS)
- Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates (IANG)
- Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS)
- Admission Scheme for Second Generation of Chinese Hong Kong Permanent Residents
Note: This rule does not apply to standalone dependent visa renewals (sponsored by permanent residents) or training visa extensions.

- More time to prepare extension applications
