ESG priorities shaping the year ahead

Sustainability — ESG expectations are shifting from commitment to execution. Boards, HR leaders and Global Mobility teams are being asked how risks are managed, how impact is measured and how resilience is built into daily operations. The focus is moving decisively towards evidence, governance and delivery.

Several themes are becoming clear. Climate risk now sits alongside emissions reduction, with organisations planning for physical impacts such as extreme weather, supply chain disruption and local operational exposure. Nature and biodiversity are rising rapidly on the agenda, increasingly treated as material business risks with direct implications for long-term resilience and continuity.

Responsible use of AI is also moving into ESG scrutiny. As technology becomes embedded across operations, expectations around transparency, data quality and governance are increasing. At the same time, AI is opening new possibilities for more accurate ESG data and better decision-making when used responsibly.

The circular economy is shifting from principle to practice. Customers and partners are placing greater emphasis on reuse, durability and closed-loop systems across logistics and supply chains. Alongside this, verified reporting is becoming non-negotiable, with traceability and robust metrics separating credible programmes from unsupported claims.

At Santa Fe, our approach is practical and operational. We focus on understanding risk, acting with integrity and embedding sustainability into how we operate across Global Mobility. The direction of travel is clear. ESG leadership is now defined by what organisations do inside the business, not what they say outside it.

Let’s continue the conversation on how these shifts are shaping Global Mobility.
