Temporary ban on international flights until 18 April 2020
Under the background of COVID-19, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has extended the temporary ban on all international flights to Thailand until 18 April 2020, effective 6 April 2020.

Background
The CAAT issued a temporary ban on all international flights to Thailand on 3 April 2020 to combat again the spread of COVID-19 in the Kingdom.
On 6 April 2020, CAAT further extended this ban until 18 April 2020. Under this temporary ban:
1. All flight permits granted to international passenger flights for the said period will be cancelled.
2. The ban does not apply to state or military aircraft, emergency landings, technical landings without disembarkation, humanitarian aid, medical and relief flights, repatriation flights and cargo flights.
3. Passengers on board the aircraft having left the airport of departure before this announcement, will be subject to 14-day quarantine upon their arrival.
Impact
Thailand is stepping up measures to fight the spread of COVID-19. A drastic drop in the number of passengers arriving in the Kingdom will be experienced over this period.
